Founded more than 50 years ago, O’Callaghan Properties (OCP) has earned a reputation for delivering landmark developments that define cities and create long-term value for investors, occupiers, and communities alike.
Headquartered in Cork City, with projects across Ireland and the UK, we are recognised as a trusted partner for local authorities, global investors, and leading international occupiers. Our portfolio spans high-quality office, retail, residential, and mixed-use developments — each characterised by thoughtful design, and a deep respect for context.
We have completed over 5 million square feet of retail and office space in Dublin, London and Cork over the last 50 years. We have developed 14 shopping centres in Ireland and our flagship developments include Opera Lane and Half Moon Street in Cork city centre, Mahon Point Shopping Centre also in Cork City, Liffey Valley Shopping Centre in Dublin and 20 Grafton Street in Mayfair, London.
O’Callaghan Properties has also developed over 7,500 homes in Ireland and London to date and we currently have over 2 million square feet of retail, residential and office space either underway or at detailed design stage.
We believe property development is a local business and our experience in delivering numerous complex developments throughout Ireland and the UK makes us an obvious partner for global investors seeking access to these locations. Our Team
Owen O'Callaghan
Founder
Owen founded O’Callaghan Properties in 1969 and was responsible for some of the most successful commercial, retail and residential developments in the country. Owen sadly passed away in January 2017 but his influence is still keenly felt throughout the organisation.
Brian O'Callaghan FCA
Managing Director
Brian joined O’Callaghan Properties in 2002. A chartered accountant by profession, he previously worked in transaction services with Pricewaterhouse Coopers in London and with Deloitte in Cork. Brian is responsible for business development and overseeing the day to day operations of the company. Brian & John Deane work closely to source and assess new development opportunities and to finance and deliver new projects
John Dean BCL
Director
John Deane has been a director of O’Callaghan Properties since 1982. John is a solicitor by profession and has worked over the past 28 years appraising prospective development opportunities and ensuring their subsequent delivery. His particular expertise in leasing, asset management and business planning is widely acknowledged within the Irish property development sector.
